According to both occupants, the engine lost power during a night takeoff. The aircraft subsequently struck a fence and a metal pole during an emergency landing, sustaining damage.

Occupant Statements
The rear seat occupant, a female pilot who stated she was the pilot-in-command, suspected carburetor ice as the cause of the power loss. The front seat pilot had had his pilot's certificate revoked.
