Accident Summary

Pilot Account
The pilot reported that the descent was steep and that the first touchdown occurred halfway down the 7,000-foot runway. He stated that he decided to plant the aircraft on the runway to engage the reversers and bring the aircraft to a stop. The touchdown was described as extremely hard, after which the aircraft began to porpoise.
Sequence of Events
Following the porpoising, the pilot retracted the landing gear to initiate a go-around. However, the engines did not spool up, and the aircraft subsequently landed wheels-up off the end of the runway.
