Accident Overview
During a touch-and-go landing, the pilot experienced a power loss on the right engine. The loss of power occurred on takeoff from the touch-and-go maneuver, compelling the pilot to land off the runway. After touching down, the aircraft rolled into a gully, which resulted in substantial damage to the airframe.
Investigation Findings
Following the accident, investigators conducted examinations of the engine, propeller, and fuel systems in an attempt to replicate the malfunction. However, the power loss could not be reproduced under test conditions. During the inspection, it was noted that certain service bulletins had not been complied with. These bulletins addressed a history of similar discrepancies related to the fuel pressure switch. No other anomalies were found that could explain the power loss.
