The copilot stated that during the approach, he sensed the aircraft was becoming slow. He reached to add power with his left hand. The copilot was sitting in the left seat for the first time. Although he had over 2,400 total flight hours, all but two of those hours were in aircraft that had the throttle control on the left side.
