What happened
The pilot attempted to initiate a takeoff roll from an alfalfa field that presented significant environmental challenges. The airfield was characterized by being short in length, wet, and soft, conditions that inherently increase rolling resistance and reduce acceleration efficiency. The aircraft was loaded with two occupants and carried approximately a full load of fuel.
During the initial phase of the flight attempt, the available distance proved insufficient for the aircraft to achieve necessary lift-off speed given the heavy loading and poor surface conditions. Consequently, the aircraft failed to become airborne within the confines of the field. It continued forward, colliding with a fence situated at the perimeter of the airfield, and subsequently struck a tree.
The investigation

The combination of two occupants and nearly full fuel tanks placed significant demand on the aircraft's performance capabilities.
