Flight Planning and Execution
The pilot of N3548V received a weather briefing and filed an IFR flight plan with the Massena Flight Service Station. The subsequent flight was uneventful, and Boston Center cleared the aircraft for the NDB approach at Potsdam. When the airport came into sight, the pilot cancelled the flight plan and proceeded under VFR to the airport.
Approach and Landing Sequence
According to the pilot, the landing checklist was initiated and the flaps were extended to 25 degrees. As N3548V crossed the runway threshold, the stall warning horn sounded. The pilot then physically checked all controls, and also checked the landing gear handle. Shortly before the aircraft contacted the runway, the landing gear warning horn sounded.
