Incident Details
A pilot was returning to a private agricultural airstrip after completing a spray run. During the landing, the pilot discovered that the left brake was inoperative. To prevent the aircraft from running off the end of the 1500-foot runway, the pilot decided to perform a ground loop. During the attempted ground loop, the aircraft ran off the side of the runway and collided with a dirt embankment.
Brake Examination
An examination of the landing gear revealed that the left brake disc pad was badly worn. No other mechanical issues were reported.
