Accident Details
The aircraft was on a cross-country flight and was approaching its final destination. The pilot requested a descent to commence the approach. Air traffic control approved the descent but stipulated that the flight must remain under visual flight rules (VFR). The pilot acknowledged this instruction.
Discovery and Occupants
Approximately two days later, the aircraft was discovered in a region of high, heavily wooded terrain. The pilot and three passengers had been ejected from the aircraft. All four individuals suffered fatal injuries.

Notably, the aircraft carried three pilots. Investigators could not identify which of them was acting as pilot-in-command during the accident flight.
