What happened
The aircraft departed from the runway and successfully became airborne after traveling approximately 1,000 feet along the ground. According to an eyewitness account, the plane initially climbed to an altitude of about 10 feet before the right wing dropped sharply toward the surface.
Following this loss of lateral control, the pilot attempted to correct the attitude by pulling up abruptly. The aircraft pitched to nearly a vertical orientation but subsequently stalled at an estimated altitude of 75 feet above the ground. Unable to recover from the stall, the aircraft descended and collided with a soybean field located approximately 300 feet beyond the end of the runway.
