Accident Details
During a team aerial application operation, the trailing aircraft struck the terrain with its right wing tip. The aircraft then rotated in a flat attitude approximately two turns before being destroyed by fire.
Pilot Account
The pilot reported that while conducting a downwind procedure turnaround into the setting sun, he glanced down to verify his hopper load. He stated that he encountered wake turbulence from the lead aerial applicator, resulting in a loss of altitude and subsequent impact with the terrain.

The pilot was able to escape the burning aircraft but suffered serious injuries.
