The aircraft departed Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport on a 14 CFR Part 91 positioning flight. The purpose was to pick up a patient in West Palm Beach, Florida, for a subsequent 14 CFR Part 135 air ambulance flight to Rochester, New York.
Landing and Overrun
According to the pilot, during landing at West Palm Beach International Airport, the aircraft floated approximately 4,000 feet down the 7,991-foot runway. Before the pilot could bring the aircraft to a stop, it ran about 30 feet off the end of the runway.
Damage and Inspection
A post-incident examination and hard landing inspection were conducted, with no discrepancies noted. The only damage incurred by the aircraft was a blown tire.
