Accident Overview
A helicopter departed Runway 10 at Plum Island Airport and turned left over the Plum Island River. Shortly after the turn, the engine quit without any prior warning. The pilot reported that no warning lights or alerts were noted, and a check of the instruments indicated no abnormalities. The engine also made no unusual noises before failing.
Emergency Response
