What happened
The flight was conducting a landing approach when it encountered significant turbulence while positioned on short final for the runway. As the aircraft descended toward the airport environment, it began to settle directly over a line of trees situated near the end of the runway.
In an effort to avoid impact with the ground and vegetation, the pilot initiated a go-around procedure. However, during this critical maneuver, the aircraft's airspeed was allowed to decay excessively. The loss of airspeed resulted in a loss of lift and control authority.
Following the failed go-around attempt, the aircraft drifted approximately thirty degrees to the right of the runway centerline. It subsequently crashed into trees located approximately one-quarter mile to the right of the runway threshold.
