Incident Summary
During takeoff from Runway 35L, the co-pilot, who was on the flight controls, reduced left propeller and right engine power at an altitude of less than 100 feet above ground level (AGL). The pilot, attempting to restore takeoff power while applying forward pressure on the control yoke, lost control of the aircraft. The aircraft subsequently impacted the terrain adjacent to the departure runway.
Pilot Statement
The pilot stated that the co-pilot's action of reducing power occurred at a low altitude. He further indicated that cargo may have shifted to the rear of the aircraft during takeoff, which could have affected the aircraft's handling characteristics. The pilot's efforts to regain control were unsuccessful, leading to the impact.
