Incident Overview
During the final approach, both the pilot and an air traffic control tower controller confirmed that the landing gear was extended. The aircraft touched down near the approach threshold and rolled approximately 1,700 feet before the right main landing gear collapsed.
Post-Accident Inspection
Following the accident, an inspection of the landing gear system was conducted. The landing gear extended without difficulty using the aircraft's electrical system. However, the gear would not retract because of damage sustained during the impact. Additionally, lateral scrape marks were observed on the left main tire.

The landing gear handle in this aircraft is located in the conventional position, to the left of the throttle.
