What happened
A solo student pilot was conducting flight training exercises that included practicing touch-and-go landings. During one such maneuver, the pilot applied power for takeoff, but the airplane began to drift to the left side of the runway. In an attempt to correct the deviation, the pilot reduced engine power to idle and applied right rudder input.
Despite these corrective actions, the aircraft continued its leftward trajectory and departed the paved surface of the runway. Upon leaving the runway, the airplane rolled into snow-covered terrain. The force of the impact with the ground caused the nose gear to collapse, resulting in the airplane nosing over.
