Accident Overview
On 27 August 1992, Aeroflot Flight 2808, a scheduled domestic passenger flight from Mineralnye Vody to Ivanovo with a stopover in Donetsk, Ukraine, crashed while attempting to land at Ivanovo Airport. The aircraft, a Tupolev Tu-134, struck a group of buildings in the village of Lebyazhy Lug.
Casualties and Damage
All 84 people on board the flight died in the crash. There were no fatalities on the ground. The aircraft was destroyed, and the buildings in Lebyazhy Lug sustained significant damage.
Investigation
Investigators determined the cause of the accident was errors made by the crew and the air traffic controller.
