Pilot Account
The pilot stated that the airplane had reached 300 feet above ground level when the stall occurred. He reported that he did not have enough altitude to recover before impact.
Oil Quantity
The engine's usable oil quantity is 16 quarts. Following the accident, four quarts of oil were drained from the engine by an FAA inspector and recovery personnel at the accident site.
