Incident Overview
A private pilot was ferrying an aircraft from a private grass field to a local airport for an annual inspection. After approximately 30 minutes of ground operation to familiarize himself with the aircraft's handling characteristics, he added fuel and prepared for takeoff.
Takeoff Attempt
