Incident Overview
A pilot reported that during the engine run up prior to departure, the aircraft's brakes were unable to prevent the aircraft from rolling. The pilot subsequently flew a visual approach to landing.
Approach and Landing
During the approach, the pilot stated that the sun momentarily blinded him, causing him to lose sight of the runway. When he regained visual contact, he realized he was high and fast relative to the intended landing profile. Despite the deviation, the pilot elected to continue the landing and attempted to set the aircraft down beyond the normal touchdown point.
Runway Excursion
Following touchdown, the aircraft overran the end of the runway. No information was provided regarding injuries or damage to the aircraft.
