Accident Narrative
The pilot in command (PIC) began the takeoff roll from a runway intersection. During the takeoff, the aircraft lifted off prematurely and then settled back onto the runway surface. Despite this, the PIC continued the takeoff and lifted off at the end of the runway.
After becoming airborne, the aircraft settled slightly and then entered a shallow climb. As the aircraft approached power lines located approximately 2,500 feet from the departure end of the runway, it was flying at an altitude too low to clear the wires. The pilot attempted to turn to avoid a collision, but the left wing struck the power lines. Following the impact, the aircraft descended uncontrollably and impacted the ground.
