During landing, the airplane began veering left after nosewheel touchdown. Despite right rudder and full right brake, it skidded off the runway and nosed up. No mechanical malfunctions were found.
Event Description
The pilot stated that after the nosewheel touched down on the runway, the airplane began veering off to the left gradually. Right rudder was applied, but the airplane continued to veer to the left. Full right brake was then applied, but it did not correct the situation. The airplane skidded off the runway and nosed up.
Examination Findings
An examination of the airplane did not reveal any mechanical malfunction of the brake system or the nose wheel steering or centering mechanism. The brake system was checked and found to be operating within normal parameters. The nose wheel steering and centering mechanism were also inspected and no anomalies were detected.
