Landing Sequence
Approximately 600 feet down the runway, the right wing settled onto the runway surface. A witness located on the highway observed the airplane flying a flat approach across the highway. During this approach, the landing gear of the airplane struck a moving truck trailer.
Post-Accident Findings
A post-accident examination of the airplane revealed that the right main landing wheel was missing and the right main landing gear strut had collapsed inward.
