Pilot Raises Landing Gear Instead of Flaps on Final Approach (N13AK)

What happened

The pilot reported that during the landing roll, he reached for the flap switch prior to turning off the runway. Instead of extending the wing flaps, he inadvertently raised the landing gear handle. The next thing he knew, the airplane was sliding to the right side of the runway. The aircraft eventually came to rest on its belly.

The investigation

In a subsequent interview, the pilot confirmed that he had confused the controls, raising the landing gear rather than operating the wing flap switch. No further mechanical anomalies were reported beyond this control input error.
