Incident Description
During the short final approach, at an altitude of approximately 100 feet above ground level, the airplane experienced an increase in its rate of sink. The aircraft subsequently touched down about 150 feet short of the runway threshold. After touchdown, the airplane encountered high vegetation, causing it to nose over.
Pilot Account
The pilot reported that after the rate of sink increased, he applied power and increased the pitch attitude. Despite these inputs, the aircraft continued to sink and touched down short of the intended landing area.
Post-Accident Examination
A post-accident examination of the airplane revealed no discrepancies related to the accident. No mechanical or system failures were identified that could have contributed to the event.
