Incident Description
After touchdown during the landing roll, the right main landing gear collapsed. The event occurred without any prior indication of failure.
Actuator and Microswitch Testing
Following the incident, the actuator and microswitch were tested. No failure was observed in either component during the tests. However, several discrepancies were noted with the actuator.
Maintenance History
The actuator's serial number could not be positively determined. Based on available records, the actuator was believed to have been overhauled in July 1992. It was then installed on the aircraft approximately one month later, in August 1992.
Investigation Conclusion
The investigation could not determine the reason for the collapse of the right main landing gear. No probable cause was established.
