Overview
A flight instructor was providing dual instruction to a private pilot in preparation for a multi-engine rating. During the training flight, an incident occurred shortly after takeoff that resulted in damage to the airplane.
Sequence of Events
According to the flight instructor's report to the National Transportation Safety Board, the training flight departed normally.
