Incident
On 31 March 1995, TAROM Flight 371, a scheduled international passenger flight operated by the Romanian flag carrier TAROM, departed from Otopeni International Airport in Bucharest, Romania, bound for Brussels Airport in Belgium. Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft entered a steep turn and dive, crashing near the town of Balotești in Romania. All 60 individuals on board—passengers and crew—died in the accident.
