Accident Overview
Witnesses observed the airplane flying at an altitude of approximately 40 to 50 feet above the ground in the vicinity of the pilot's personal airport. One witness saw the airplane initiate a steeply banked left turn, seemingly aiming for the runway. During the turn, the airplane yawed to the left, then descended and impacted a roadway.
Fire and Damage
Upon impact, a fire erupted, consuming about 75 percent of the airplane. The fire significantly damaged the wreckage, complicating the on-site examination.
Investigation Findings
An on-site investigation was conducted to determine the cause of the accident. Investigators found no mechanical anomalies that would have affected flight performance or control. The absence of pre-existing mechanical issues suggests the aircraft was in working condition prior to the crash. No further causal factors have been established from the available evidence.
