Narrative
The pilot reported that the aircraft was preflighted, started, and warmed up with temperatures and pressures gauges in the green. The pilot was traveling between 30 and 50 mph at the time. He attempted a quick-stop but determined he was too low and did not have enough altitude to autorotate the aircraft. Instead, he executed a run-on landing. After contacting the ground, the aircraft slid approximately 40 feet. As it came to rest on a terrace, it slowly rolled onto its side.
