Accident Details
During the landing, the airplane touched down on a section of the runway that was not paved. It subsequently traveled onto the paved portion of the runway as it continued the landing roll. After rolling approximately 50 feet on the paved surface, the airplane abruptly veered to the right and departed the side of the runway, despite the pilot's remedial efforts.
The airplane then continued into an adjacent plowed field, where it nosed over. Skid marks were observed on the runway following the accident, indicating that the wheels had left visible traces on the pavement.
Post-Accident Examination
An inspection of the airplane was conducted to determine the cause of the loss of directional control. However, the examination did not reveal any mechanical or structural deficiencies that could account for the unexpected veering or the subsequent excursion. The reason for the loss of control remains undetermined based on the available evidence.
