Narrative
A pilot reported losing spatial orientation shortly after takeoff while flying in foggy conditions. The aircraft struck powerlines located southwest of the departure end of the airport. The powerlines were situated slightly below the elevation of the airstrip. Following the powerline strike, the airplane traveled approximately three-quarters of a mile before impacting the terrain. It then continued for roughly 900 feet until it contacted trees, where it came to rest and was destroyed by a post-impact fire.
