Incident Details
According to the pilot's statement, she was unable to maintain proper alignment with the runway due to a crosswind. In an attempt to abort the landing, she added power and reduced the flaps. However, control of the aircraft was lost during this maneuver.
Sequence of Events
The airplane subsequently exited the runway, crossed a taxiway, and proceeded approximately 600 feet through a grassy area. After traversing the grass, the airplane turned left. During this turn, the left main landing gear and the nose gear collapsed.
