Landing and Bounce
The airplane touched down on the runway. During the landing, it bounced 'slightly.' In response, the pilot added a 'small amount of power.'
Second Touchdown and Drift
The aircraft touched down again approximately 100 feet further down the runway. After the second touchdown, the airplane began to drift to the left.
Loss of Directional Control
The pilot 'applied full right rudder and right brake' in an attempt to correct the drift. Despite these inputs, the airplane continued to deviate from the runway centerline.
Runway Excursion and Impact
The airplane exited the left side of the runway. It subsequently struck 'the only tree in that area' with the left wing.
Post-Impact Sequence
Following the collision with the tree, the airplane 'cart wheeled' and came to rest inverted.
Investigation
