Accident Description
During the landing rollout on an asphalt runway, the pilot reported encountering winds that moved the aircraft to the right. When the airplane's right wheel neared the grass bordering the runway, the pilot applied full throttle and momentarily lifted off. There was insufficient room to complete a takeoff, and the airplane's right wing struck a hill paralleling the runway. The impact caused the airplane to turn 180 degrees before coming to a stop. The reported winds were from 190 degrees at 5 knots.
Aircraft Damage
The left main landing gear collapsed under the airplane, and the outboard section of the left wing was bent upward approximately 30 degrees. The pilot reported no mechanical deficiencies with the airplane.
