Incident Overview
As the pilot of a Cessna T210M approached the destination airport, the landing gear was lowered. The tower controller then advised that the gear did not appear to be locked down. A flyby was conducted, which confirmed that the right main landing gear had only partially extended. The pilot attempted corrective actions, but these were unsuccessful.
Landing and Gear Collapse
The pilot subsequently returned to the airport and performed a power-off landing with full flaps on runway 28L. During the landing roll, the right main landing gear collapsed. The collapse resulted in damage to the right horizontal stabilizer.
Post-Crash Examination
An examination conducted after the incident found that the hydraulic hose connecting the system to the nose gear door actuator had deteriorated. This deterioration allowed a complete loss of hydraulic fluid, which made the landing gear system inoperable.
