Event Description
The airplane landed on runway 8 with a quartering tailwind. At the time of landing, the reported winds were from the southwest at 4 knots. During the landing roll, the airplane began a turn to the right. The pilot responded by applying full left rudder and left brake. Despite these inputs, the airplane continued its right turn, resulting in a ground loop. The left main landing gear subsequently broke during the event.
Post-Accident Examination
Following the incident, the airplane was examined thoroughly. The landing gear and brake system were inspected for any signs of mechanical failure. No evidence of such failure was observed.
