Accident Overview
During an instructional flight, a flight instructor and two student pilots were conducting a touch-and-go landing. The flight instructor failed to lower the landing gear before touchdown. Examination Findings
Post-accident examination of the aircraft revealed that the right throttle landing gear warning lever had rotated 90 degrees and became hung up on the left mixture control lever. This condition caused movement of the right throttle to also move the left mixture control. Investigators could not determine whether the position of the warning horn rod affected the operation of the landing gear warning system.
