Incident Overview
The accident occurred during takeoff from a turf runway measuring 1,740 feet in length by 65 feet in width. The aircraft sustained substantial damage as a result of the event.
Pilot Account
The pilot reported that after a short ground roll, the nose wheel was lifted off the ground and the aircraft became airborne. Shortly after gaining a small amount of height, the right wing dropped. Despite applying full left rudder and left aileron, the pilot was unable to bring the aircraft back to a level attitude. Subsequently, the right wing contacted the ground approximately halfway down the runway.
Examination
An examination of the airframe, powerplant, and systems revealed no anomalies that would have contributed to the accident prior to the event.
