An airplane veered off the runway during landing and nosed over. The aircraft came to rest inverted in sand after departing the paved surface.
Accident Details
During the landing roll, the airplane encountered a 90-degree right crosswind. The aircraft began to weathervane to the right. In response, the pilot applied aft elevator, full left rudder, and full left brake. Subsequently, the left wing contacted the runway, and the airplane departed the runway. It continued into an area of sand and came to rest inverted.
