Incident Details
The pilot reported entering left traffic for runway 34. During the approach, the airplane crossed over a hill, and the pilot noticed a reduction in airspeed. He increased power, but the airplane developed an excessive sink rate. The pilot added power, and the airplane touched down on the runway, then bounced back into the air. After touching down again, the airplane went off the left side of the runway, down an embankment, and the left wing collided with a tree.
