Introduction

Sequence of Events
After touching down, the pilot lost directional control of the airplane. In response, the pilot attempted to "fly out of it" by increasing engine throttle and pulling the airplane up out of ground effect. The maneuver led to an aerodynamic stall at approximately 30 feet above ground level. The airplane then descended and impacted the terrain in a nose-low attitude.
Conditions
At the time of the accident, the pilot estimated the wind from 330 degrees at 5 knots. No mechanical anomalies with the airplane were noted during the flight.
