Accident Details
The left main landing gear separated from the airplane after a loss of control during the landing roll. The pilot reported that the landing was normal. As the airplane decelerated, the left wing rose and the airplane veered to the right. The pilot stated he was not applying the brakes at the time. Aileron and rudder inputs did not prevent the airplane from departing the runway into the grass.
