Event Description
The airplane was executing a landing on runway 22. After touchdown, during the rollout, the aircraft deviated from the runway centerline, veering to the right. It departed the paved surface and entered an area of soft soil. The airplane subsequently nosed over.
Pilot Report
The pilot reported that following touchdown, the right brake seemed to drag and then locked up. This, in the pilot's view, caused the airplane to veer to the right. After leaving the runway, the airplane nosed over in the soft terrain.
Investigation
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) inspectors conducted an examination of the airplane's brake system. Their inspection revealed no indications of a mechanical malfunction or lockup within the braking components. No other anomalies were reported.
