What happened
The flight was concluding its approach sequence when the aircraft was positioned approximately ten feet above ground level on short final. At this critical altitude, the pilot applied additional engine power. Immediately following this input, a loud popping noise was reported by the pilot.
Shortly after the sound, the airplane entered a stall condition. The left wing struck the grass runway surface first. Following the initial impact, the aircraft bounced upward before colliding with nearby trees and a fence structure. The flight ended when the airplane came to rest in an inverted position adjacent to the runway.
The investigation
A thorough examination of the wreckage was conducted to determine the mechanical status of the aircraft at the time of the incident. Inspectors evaluated both the airframe and the propulsion system for any signs of pre-impact failure or malfunction.
The inspection revealed that there were no anomalies detected with the airframe structure. Similarly, the engine showed no evidence of internal failure or operational defects prior to the crash sequence.
