What happened

During preparations for an on-demand air taxi charter flight, all passengers had finished boarding and portable airstairs were pushed back from the aircraft. While the engines were not yet running, an approaching storm brought heavy rains and gusty winds to the area.

To prevent rain from entering the main entrance and galley area, a mechanic was directed to secure the cabin door. As the flight attendant attempted to close the door, the mechanic moved in to assist. During this process, the mechanic's hand slipped from the door handle and his feet slipped from under him, causing him to fall out of the doorway onto the ramp.
