What happened
During a takeoff attempt on runway 29, the pilot of the aircraft experienced a stall. In an attempt to stop the aircraft, the pilot initiated an aborted takeoff; however, the aircraft could not be brought to a complete stop on the runway surface. The aircraft slid off the runway and struck a fence before coming to a rest.
Witnesses at the scene reported observing the airplane enter runway 29 at intersection H, which is located approximately one-third of the way down the runway. Observers further noted that the aircraft began porpoising toward the end of the runway before skidding off the pavement and down an embankment.
Findings
The aircraft exited the runway following a stall during the takeoff phase. The runway involved in the incident measures 4,451 by 150 feet.
