Landing and Loss of Control
The pilot executed a three-point touchdown on the runway, then reduced all engine power and held the stick back to keep the tail down. Despite applying right rudder to prevent the airplane from moving left, the pilot was unable to maintain directional control.
Late Application of Power
The pilot reported that she added full engine power too late to correct the deviation. Subsequently, the airplane ground looped, and its propeller struck the ground or another object. The pilot stated that there were no preimpact mechanical malfunctions or failures.
No Mechanical Issues
According to the pilot, the accident was not caused by any mechanical problem with the aircraft. The sequence of events indicates a loss of directional control during the landing roll.
