What happened
On January 14, 2008, a Piper PA-32-260, registration N3528W, was landing on runway 20R in Atlanta, Georgia. The weather conditions at the time were Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC) with a visibility of 10 statute miles and winds from 280 degrees at 7 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft bounced and subsequently landed, but then departed the left side of the runway. During the excursion, the airplane struck a taxiway sign and a runway light before coming to a stop in an upright position. There were no injuries resulting from the incident.
