On March 30, 2008, at 13:38 UTC, a Cessna Citation 500, bearing registration VP-BGE, crashed into a residence in Farnborough, Kent, United Kingdom. The aircraft had departed from Biggin Hill Airport at 13:33 on runway 21. The flight was operating under instrument flight rules with a destination of Pau, France.
Shortly after takeoff, the copilot requested to return to the airport, reporting that the crew was experiencing an engine vibration. The aircraft was destroyed upon impact with the building. There were 5 fatal injuries among the two flight crew members and three passengers.
